We've been away to Cornwall for the half term ( lovely relaxing trip ) but this isn't the subject of this blog. You know how it is on long journeys there is time to muse on things... well an important thought popped in to my head -:
We could not have this lifestyle if I worked
This is really really important. Often I've struggled with the question of earning outside the home for all the reasons that society here in the west throws at me almost daily. And I wonder if I should be out there getting my own money ( and I realise I'm lucky in not needing to) or exploring the whole career question. Realising that if I worked we couldn't do half the things we do is sobering and gives me a sense of purpose and worth I suppose.
Something to muse on further but a significant, to me at least( perhaps you realised it before me - I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometimes) thought point
